The topic of this year’s Pipelineforum was „Ensuring the energy mix through large scale projects“ and attracted roughly 75 interested guests to meet at the Steigenberger Hotel in Hamburg to discuss the current status of several large scale projects.
After a short welcoming speech from Mr. Heiner Schönecke, a member of the Lower-Saxon Parliament, with news about the current affairs in Berlin and Hanover, the two big natural gas infrastructure projects EUGAL and ZEELINK as well as several other projects of the energy transition were presented.
Afterwards, Mr. Meyenborg from the Federal Network Agency gave an overview of the current development of power networks and the expansion of the North-South-links in Germany. In addition, the INEOS Phenol GmbH presented its project for the turnkey construction of the industrial sewage line at the location in Glabeck.
As usual, the event was concluded with a large panel discussion about all topics presented this year.
