Due to the construction of the new gas pipeline EUGAL which is supposed to run alongside the existing OPAL line with 2 pipe runs DN 1400, DP 100, the transport capacity of the takeover plants Kienbaum and Groß Köris has to be increased in order to transport natural gas to the south and west via the network of the ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH.
The ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH has commissioned the FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG to carry out the engineering part of this challenging project. This includes all engineering works from preparing the engineering scope of work, the detailed engineering, preparing of the tender documents for the construction of the plant as well as the site supervision and the support of the client during the warranty phase.
The transport capacity of both takeover plants will be increased to 2.16 million Nm³/h. Both plants are among the most powerful within the ONTRAS network.
The plants consists of an input filter, calibration measurement, preheating, gas pressure control and gas analysis technologies.
The planning of the new plant buildings as well as the planning of the connection unit to the upstream and downstream network are also part of our engineering works.
Both plants are scheduled to be put into operation in the second half of 2019 which is supposed to go along with the commissioning of the EUGAL pipeline.
